And now Islam is a race? This whole thing is just stupid. Those who claim he's a muslim don't do so because he's black; that would make more sense if he were arabic. They do so because of his actions, his father, and his "my muslim faith" remark.

EmmaRoydes - July 7, 2014, 12:00 am
Now that you might have calmed down, let me explain your poster to you. Liberals hate babies, hence their love of abortions. Abortion=no baby, in other words, baby born=bad. No bible needed, just common sense (which you obviously lack)

So....now that we've concluded remedial Bible Class 101 on original sin, do you 'get' it now? or we need to break out your crayons and draw you a diagram? :-)
fauxnews - July 6, 2014, 10:58 pm
...c) Once you're born, until the day you die, you are inherently a good person, equal to every other person, regardless of race, ***ual orientation, gender, religion, etc. Admittedly, the libs have that one over you. The original sin thing is just nutty
fauxnews - July 6, 2014, 10:57 pm
So unborn good. Born = bad = original sin. But reborn = good again? Liberals don't believe in original sin. If most liberals are atheists on some level, then they mostly believe a)unborn not a person, b) dead = dead, no corporeal spirit, no after life...
fauxnews - July 6, 2014, 10:54 pm

Actually, this is a brilliant point. I've always wondered how Stalinism, and Maoism, should be considered. Atheist fundamentalism? Perhaps... Stalin WAS as militant as one could get and declared war on the values of the West. Good food for thought, mate.

Right now I'd argue that at the present moment Radical Islam are the current champs of religious violence but historically the pendulum swings and Xtian fundamentalist terrorists - historically speaking - have equally been as bad. Food for thought. Cheers
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:59 pm
...not to mention the millions of innocent women burned at the stakes by Xtian fundamentalists and the many others slaughtered in the inquisitions for being non-Xtian.If youre going to look at fundamentalist violence,Xtianity is not a bad place to start.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:57 pm
Like it or not, the KKK's Xtian fundamentalist terrorist activity and the black Holocaust they committed against the countless innocent Americans (freed slaves or not, mostly blacks) certainly ranks up there with the very worst activity of Radical Islam
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:54 pm
*ahem* Your "source." Religion and terrorism: an interfaith perspective. Westport, CT: Praeger. pp. 21, 30, 55, 91...And a thousand more like. Those that burning cross is a dead giveaway. What? You going to tell me they were playing tic-tac-toe? X-D

(continued."The goals of the KKK included, from an early time onward, an intent to "reestablish Protestant Christian values in America by any means possible", and they believed that "Jesus was the first Klansman."

You want a source? Fair enough: Klan members had an explicitly Xtian terrorist ideology, basing their beliefs in part on a'religious foundation'in Xtianity..."(cont.)
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:51 pm
...and if you said,"the difference is that those shooters are mentally ill", you'd be right. It could also be sociopathy, essentially the same thing. Which I would argue is also the same excuse for radical Islamists. Again, one religion is not better.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:49 pm
And how exactly do you know this? It's a creepy defense. Every major religion has its fanatics that kill in the name of their religion. Abortion doctor killers are well documented killing in the name of the Bible...
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:48 pm
How would you know, Hagen, what's in the hearts and minds of Xtian fundamentalist KKK members? You once said, essentially,"but the difference is that the KKK doesn't kill in the name of Christ the same way terrorists kill in the name of Islam" Huh?
Cyberhagen - February 14, 2015, 1:14 pm
Soure? Number? If they even exist, just how significant or large a group? Because it sounds like you're describing Boko Harma, which is muslim.
Curlyrocks - February 10, 2015, 7:32 pm
I think that any social structure holds people back for the most part. Religion, government, unions, guilds, all serve necessary and useful functions and are all easily corrupted. As such all institutions should be as small as possible.

Religion of any brand holds us back. But none of us has the right to judge the other, Be you Christian, Jew, Agnostic, Muslim, Atheist,...etc...except scientology...you can judge scientology. :-p
fauxnews - February 10, 2015, 6:27 pm
Also, you will get no argument from me that for every fanatic using the the Koran/Bible/Torah as an a**hole there are 2 to 3 people "using it peacefully.” Right next to the Christians and every other member of ANY organized religion IMHO....
fauxnews - February 10, 2015, 6:26 pm
We may have to agree to disagree, mate. Sorry, but i don’t give credit to religion for undoing the harm done by religious fundies. I credit the rationality of men, rare as that may be at times in this age.
Curlyrocks - February 10, 2015, 2:06 pm
Hopefully true Muslims can stand up to ISIS and their fundie freaks the way Christians have through out history.
Curlyrocks - February 10, 2015, 2:04 pm
Umm, where was the second wrong? He was merely pointing out Christians roles in undoing the damage done by the KKK. For every person using a holy book like an a** hole there's probably 2 or 3 using it properly for peace but no one hears about the meek.

P.S. I think that more than covers my personal belief in Muslim fundamentalists, and the radical left's, "culpability." Notice how I'm almost always careful to include the word"fundamentalist"after the said religion,Islam or otherwise...
fauxnews - February 9, 2015, 10:44 pm
FOX NEWS might not be as bad as radical Islamists but theyre still a echo chamber for a virulent strain of Xtian fundy thinking that hurts innocent people and deserves to be mocked IMHO.Dont take it personally,or take me too seriously.Have a good one, mate
fauxnews - February 9, 2015, 10:41 pm
But I think the posters on this site more than represent that view, and there is nothing wrong with me offering up an often neglected POV that extremism exists in ALL major religions.
fauxnews - February 9, 2015, 10:39 pm
Happy? I'm more of less in line with Maher's view about radical Islam that it's “the only religion that acts like the mafia, that will f--king kill you if you say the wrong thing, draw the wrong picture or write the wrong book.” I can agree with that.
fauxnews - February 9, 2015, 10:38 pm
*ahem* I think the sociopathic fury of Al-Qaeda reflects a tribalism of Islamic fundmentalism that is every bit as awful as anything the Catholic Church has done. I also agree that the left is overdosing in political correctness...
fauxnews - February 9, 2015, 10:36 pm
Whatever, I more or less agreed with your comment[#72765] about Islamic fundamentalism's clear and present danger. But if you Iike I can set the record straight right now...
Zeitguy - February 9, 2015, 10:18 pm
Also observing that you seem to have an axe to grind with Christians and the right side of the aisle without admitting any culpability of Muslims or the left. Just sayin. Cheers.

Looks like I misread that. I do not recall anything approaching the holocaust being done to black Americans, but the term can mean a burnt offering to a god which is normally done at night.

Actually it is an ethnic cleansing of Muslim Africans by Christian Africans. It started when the Christians where attacked by some extremist Muslims but after that they started going after all Muslims.
